Our entire baseball team stayed here while competing in a tournament in New Kent, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Heather was absolutely amazing, the GM was incredibly accommodating, and the maintenance team made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay.
We had two rooms with A/C issues, but they were addressed quickly and efficiently with great communication. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the property itself was peaceful and beautiful.
The highlight of the trip was watching our boys spend hours fishing off the docks, laughing together, and making memories they’ll never forget. This hotel became part of an unforgettable experience for our families, and we truly appreciate the outstanding hospitality. We would absolutely stay here again!

Room was clean but that’s loose and very low water pressure. Worst part is the pool wasn’t usable nasty green and unusable. That pool & river view is our main reason for booking this place.

If I could give the staff 6 stars I would so helpful and polite. Very clean rooms up to date fixtures and paint . Absolutely awesome view of the river. The adjacent restaurant had good food also.

Do not let the word "Resort" in the name fool you like many others have been. This is no longer a 'resort', it has turned into a trailer park. We had seasonal leases here since January 2023 and back then it was nice, but each year since then has deteriorated.
We went through eight General Managers in three years and not one lasted an entire lease period. Each year they raise the lease price with little to no improvements to the property. But If you love the smell of weed, listening to drunk people argue, dodging piles of dog waste through the property, then this could be the place for you. However, be very vigilant for loose dogs or dogs left outside unattended.
The management, to include the ownership, have a "Us verses Them" attitude towards the seasonal campers and never address any isses to include the the cleanliness of the property, the cleaniness of the bathhouse (human waste found in one of the shower stalls), they are rarely stocked with any TP or soap.
Or the cleanliness of the laundry room (also has had waste located in one of the washers and dryer.)
When our RV was in the shop for it's annual maintenance service, we did stay a week in the hotel. It is dated and needs improvements to include putting screens in the windows. But hey, if you dont care any of these issues, then this is definitely the place for you!

It is indeed possible for a room to be clean and have new bathroom fixtures but also be a total dump.
Do not believe the description of the "resort" that's on the online booking websites.
The rooms are so small that one is barely able to move without bumping into something. Pet friendly rooms have concrete floors. Not a bad idea in theory but not what I would call comfy or resort like.
No chairs in the rooms with 2 queen beds because there's no room. My husband got a folding camp chair so he'd have somewhere to sit to watch football.
Forget about housekeeping or someone to restock towels. Apparently we were supposed to call "the maintenance guy" for those. Um, what couple books a 4 day stay but only uses 2 towels and washcloths?
And let's talk about the towels. They were like sandpaper and extremely old and worn.
This is not a resort. This is a place for drunk fisherman to stay when they go out on the river. Not a bad thing but almost ruined our anniversary vacation. We ended up checking out early (no refund) and staying elsewhere.
I should have known when we arrived and there was a herd of drunk people with folding tables/chairs in front of the hotel having a fish fry. Again, not "bad" - they were just a bunch of fisherman - but not "resort," either.
They've taken an old motel and remodeled as inexpensively as possible and are trying to market it as something a little upscale. Don't believe it.
Clean, though! That's the only thing it had going for it.
