This is a trailer park dominated by seasonal/permanent rentals and I personally just don't enjoy that. I want to feel like I'm on vacation, not intruding in a neighborhood. Our site was difficult to back into and we were surrounded by hundreds of Latino people in tents. They were pleasant enough but hung all their clothes, including underwear, on the fences between sites. This was a last minute trip for us, but in the future I'd stay elsewhere.

Tried staying overnight with our tent and it was a fantastic experience. Had water and electric site. Staffs in the office was fantastic and very helpful. Even the neighbors who had their RV setup was awesome. Most of them waved and said hi to us and felt like we are among them. Toilets, bathrooms and swimming pools are clean. No complaints.
Location is closer to all the places. You don’t have to be exactly during the check in time and just go whenever you want and mention your site no. at the entrance and you will be in and do the check in process in office the next day as well. Didn’t hear any noise in the night except some golf cart moving randomly. Left the tent unattended in the morning for sunrise and no issues. All good.

One of my favorite campground’s to stay at as a family. Beautiful especially if you get a spot by the water. The island creamery is a must go while you are there because it is one of the best ice creams that I have tasted. Thank you guys for making this campground so wonderful

The photos on the website for Tom’s Cove Campground are misleading! There is not a beach at the campground. The pool is tiny! There are no lights in the shower house which is disgusting. They don't have working WiFi and are completely unconcerned with that. They stated that people who go there don’t actually expect it to work and purchase their own WiFi plans. Sites are tiny with zero privacy. Stood in the office almost 20 minutes waiting to check in while employees had personal conversations. When I expressed concern and asked about getting a refund and leaving I was told no refund but was asked if I really was leaving as they wanted to rent out my site to someone else so they would have a double income.
Saw multiple other campers come in with similar problems that the employees showed zero concern for. One couple had been paying for a site for the season and it was already occupied by someone else when they arrived with their RV and family and the office staff had no solution for them and no idea what day the staff member who deals with seasonal reservations would return or would be able to deal with the “confusion”.
These people have a great location but zero concern for customers and definitely are not the business they pretend to be on their website.

Overall, this campground was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, there were definitely some downsides people should be aware of before booking. The bathrooms were pretty small and not very clean during our stay. Also, the campground’s quiet hours were from 10 PM–7 AM, but unfortunately many campers did not respect that at all. People were being very loud until around midnight, and then again starting right at 7 AM. Another thing to keep in mind is the HUGE amount of seagulls around the campground , they are extremely loud basically all hours of the day and night. Other than that, the location and overall atmosphere were nice, but if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the best fit.
