Beautiful location at the top of the mountain. Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean warm bathrooms. Showers nearby. Many sites are not level. Some with limited usable space. Very quiet. Easy access to great hiking.

We had a good trip! The weather was beautiful and the campsite was clean and tidy. I would recommend going during the week early in the season as it’s very peaceful. The campground was almost empty during the week in early May and filled right up Friday night till Sunday. Overall a great experience!

We stayed at campsite G186 for 5 nights, the site area was very private, enclosed, and larger than most sites around us. However, the entire site area is on a steep slope! Tent pad flat area at the top of the sight overlooking the neighbors would probably fit a 4 person tent. Otherwise if you are in a larger tent you will be on a slope. No food storage box at this site when we were there, most other sites had one. Directly across from bathroom and water.

Campground was clean, sites are nicely dispersed, and a great location within the park.

Loved the campground! It was very clean and the store was convenient and well stocked. Things to know- the shower prices changed, you need $5.00 of quarters now. Also beware where you set up the tent. There is an incline that’s not that noticeable. Also the bathroom just has one stall. The line can get long in the morning.

We loved this campground! The walk-in sites all around the perimeter were so great, we felt completely happy in our beautiful secluded spot. Also very much appreciated our very own bear box, and the excellent pay-per-use showers/laundry facility next to the camp store.

We really like the campground and most of the rangers were very nice. The one thing we that was an issue was the grass was not cut at our site.

Overall, this campground was fantastic. Very peaceful despite being pretty full. However, this particular site should NOT be open to trailers. You have to go down a one way, but the spot faces the same way as the one way, so in order to back in, I had to go to the end, back up and pull in against traffic. Then I had to exit completely going against traffic because there was no way to safely go out the correct way. This one should be only available to vans or tent camping due to safety.

I’ve been coming to this place for years and it never disappoints! The new picnic tables and bear proof boxes are a wonderful addition!
