What Guests Are Saying
Loft Mountain Campground is praised for its spacious layout, cleanliness, and beautiful views, making it a great spot for group camping and hiking. Campground staff are noted for being friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. While some sites may not be level and the shower facilities require payment, the positives, including wildlife sightings and well-maintained restrooms, contribute to a memorable camping experience.

The Loft Mountain Campground now only has a few campsites for 1st come 1st serve visitors(no-reservations). They have 50 of them but really only 15 of them are for RV's/Tents and the other remaining amount is tent only ,that are on 1st come 1st serve. Its hard to reserve a good spot because people only camp for a day or two which blocks out part of the weekend. They have gone to almost a complete reservation site only this year and makes it difficult to fine a site you like or even a time to go. They should go back to more 1st come 1 serve sites.

Site info is misleading--my site(G186) listed as available for a 42 foot Motorhome. just barely made it work-s/b listed a 35 foot. Also, park needs to direct tents to left side of interior roads allowing trailers and motorhomes for the right side.
More pictures of sites and better descriptions would be helpful for all concerned.

Great spot with beautiful views. Very helpful and friendly rangers. Bring firewood or be sure to arrive before the camp sites close.

It would have been good to know that showers cost money ahead of time

Great campground. Spent 8 days in a first come site. Enough sun for solar on clear days. Fun hikes along the AT, met some thru hikers.

We absolutely love Loft Mountain Campground. We stayed for the first time at the beginning of this month and loved it so much that we went back the next weekend. The bathrooms in the campground and by the Campstore that included the showers were incredibly clean. All the campers we encountered were so sweet and helpful with answering our questions as newbies. We will 100% be staying again and hopefully soon.

There was a minor mixup with my particular site when I checked in, but it ended up being a non-issue. Love the campground, can't wait to come back.

I had a really good experience at Loft Mountain Campground.
Some trails are accessible from the campground, which is nice.
It was very clean, campsites are nice and well marked.
Restrooms were clean.
Showers were nice, although a little expensive. $5 for 10 min, and you can't put less for less time...
