Gnats everywhere. 100’s of them flying around your head at all times. Totally miserable experience.

We really liked bare fence mountain trail. It gets a little hairy there towards the end (the rock scramble part.). loved the little ecosystem up there in the crags. Cool sedums and lots of native insect life. Showers and store were good (wants $5 in quarters for shower. Machine there). All in all a great experience: quiet at night, bathrooms clean. You can run through a lot of firewood. It’s 10 bucks a pop there so you may want to bring some.

great campsite with gorgeous views! we stayed at d109, and the spot was small, probably would struggle fitting anything larger than a six-person tent. There is a path/opening to the next campsite over, which is where we put our tent for extra privacy. Firepit and bearboxes were well maintained, close access to 2 bathrooms. On a nice little hill as well. Good amount of privacy as well. The one qualm we have with the spot is that it is not very level. It was fine for us, but we did slide down to the bottom of our tent during the night.

Great facility. Showers were expensive and water wasn’t hot.

This is a nice site. Could accommodate a few small tents (2-4 person). It does get sun most of the day.

Very good camping experience for me and my family overall. Check-in was easy, the bathroom was clean, and the fire pit and picnic table at our site were in good condition. We also visited the camp store to pick up a few things, it was well-organized and had all the basic essentials. Overall, it was a great weekend at Loft Mountain.
Only one feedback; it would be great if campground officials driving around could be a bit more considerate about speed, especially on misty days when families with kids are around.

Camosite was level without major rock or root issues. Bathroom seemed to have a clogged sink
