Good place to stay if you want to visit skyline Dr. You can see sunrise in the morning when you open your eyes. Hot shower working 22 hrs daily if you paid $2.50. Beautiful clean bathroom

Perfect site near the restrooms, which were clean and tidy. Spots are fabulous with enough privacy in that you can't see your next door neighbor. Showers at the campground store were spotless as well as the laundry room. Campstore has a large selection of food items, wood and souveneirs. The camp hosts were friendly, helpful and professional. The campground was amazingly quiet and peaceful, and deer roamed around unfazed by us humans. Loft Mt is favorite campground in SNP!

The campground is great for people who like privacy and the feeling of camping in the woods. Our site was surrounded by trees and foliage with the next site several yards away. We were there when it rained and our site got really muddy - the down side of being in the woods where there's less grass. On the plus side, bathrooms and water are readily available although there are no electric or water hookups. Our cell service was OK (T-Mobile) but others weren't as lucky. You do need a flashlight to get around at night as it's pitch black out. It's also dead quiet after 10. There are several excellent trails accessible through the campground. I recommend reserving a site in advance. There are several that cannot be reserved but you can switch to any other one that's still available when you get there.

This campground was great! Perfect location and had everything we needed: clean bathrooms, showers, camp store, etc. We hiked 5 trails, and our favorite was by far the Bear Fence summit hike. We arrived at about 2 am and our site tag was ready on the door, and they came around in a golf cart to check us in the next morning. Great site, great location, and very nice people.

The store staff had an attitude most days. They also would pick and choose who they wanted to enforce to wear a mask. I forgot my mask in the car once, so I tried putting my sweatshirt over my face as I have a broken ankle and didn’t want to walk back to get it. They told me I needed my mask. That is fine, it is the rule so I did so without complaint. When I got back in the store with my mask on, I noticed one woman freely shopping without a mask and another person walk in behind me without one…neither of them were approached by the staff. The unfair treatment is what I don’t like.
