This was our first trip to Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah NP. The campground was clean and not crowded. The camp store was convenient. Had a wonderful stay here!

Great campground if you are tent camping, have a motor home or travel trailer / fifth wheel 30’ or under. (I have a 32’ travel trailer. I got it in, but it was a tight squeeze. I wouldn’t go any bigger for this campground.)
The campsites are large and private, some having spectacular views of the mountains. The bath house was clean.
There is some great hiking as well. The AT wraps around about 1/3 of the campsite, so hiking with a few great scenic outcroppings is just a two minute (or less) walk from most campsites.
The nearest fuel station is about 25 miles North at Big Meadows, so make sure you have enough fuel to get back where you are headed.
Overall, great campsite. Will be returning for future stays.

We really enjoyed Loft Mountain. The campsite had grass for the tent and the restrooms and shower rooms were very clean.

Odd arrangement of sites in the area we were in but nice. Can't fault the campground for the rain :)

Site E133 was a pull through that was fairly level. The site immediately in front was a little close an shared one large section of grass. The Campground amphitheater was quite a distance away from the Campground and down a rather steep hill. The store and a good selection, catering mostly to Appalachian trail hikers. Generator operating hours weren't always enforced. Four days of rain and fog made it difficult to enjoy the views at times.

My first time at Loft Mountain Campground was superb! The facilities are excellent, we loved our site, bathrooms were always clean, Park staff were very helpful and friendly, camp Host was helpful. Loved the Camp store, appreciated the showers, enjoyed the amphitheater because I got the best cell phone connection there! And all the hiking was great! Thank you!!

The cart in tent sites were very pretty! There were a lot of bugs/spiders in the bathrooms and showers. I didn’t mind some but there seemed to be a ton!
