The volunteers working at the campground were wonderful. The work they were doing to restore the picnic area by the lake is great. They have improved that area tremendously by removing the downed trees to allow access again. The fact they are doing this without being paid makes their work more appreciated.

Campsite looked flat in the pictures. (site 1) Once I figured out the site the spot I parked was level. Site was kinda small but once site was setup, it was just fine. The campground was quiet and extremely well kept. The camp hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. They were hard workers and spent many days clearing fallen trees and brush. Plenty of cut firewood available at the bath house. The campground is built around a mountain with some sites near the water and others spiraling up the hill. Each site is individual and different. Water and electric available on about half of the sites (30 Amp) Two different swimming areas with sandy beaches.
All in all, a great campground. We WILL be back here again.

Some rude neighbors, had 5 cars at the site . Blocked our exit didn't offer to watch us wiggle our camper out. The park ranger talk with them and then police showed up. Didn't complain just minded our business with grand kids and enjoyed. Just venting a little here. Overall it was great, staff [Stephanie] was great and helpful.

We really love it at Horseshoe Point, and have been coming here the past 20 years. It is a heavily wooded campground and very quiet , very beautiful, with two lovely swimming areas to chose from. It’s always clean and it’s a very affordable mini vacation.
