I love all the campgrounds at Philpott. Always a great experience. Good bathrooms and showers, volunteers and rangers are very friendly. The only negative I've had is when some camper uses a generator
in the morning at a non-electric site... very noisy...I'd say generators should be banned.. they should have booked an electric hook-up campsite.

The park is beautiful and the staff are super nice! Unfortunately the no alcohol rule isn't enforced which wasn't fun to be around with our young kids. We also saw campers damaging trees on their site. As people who believe in "leave no trace," seeing that broke our hearts. The park and lake are great! The other campers.... not so much.

Have been camping at horseshoe for over 50 years. Absolutely love horseshoe. The campsite are well maintained the bathrooms are clean. Love the water and the peace and quiet and the lack of houses and boats everywhere. Please don't change there were 16 of us this year we LOVE philpott lake. Thank you
