What a beautiful location! I drove 4 1/2 hours to go to these campgrounds, and I would gladly do it again! The water was beautiful and fun to swim in & the campsite was secluded, private, and quiet & the staff was pleasant! They also had firewood available for purchase, which was convenient! I can’t wait to go back to spot #21!

I had a most peaceful stay at this campground. Beautiful hardwood forest, a clean bathroom with hot showers, large water-view sites, and quiet, dark skies at night. We all look for different things when camping. I would have liked a hiking trail nearby, but the terrain does not allow for it.

Glad that the exhaust fans were working again in the bathrooms.
This is my favorite campground at Philpott Lake!!

Our first time here. Longer drive in than expected, but worth it. Smaller loop than others. Bath house was clean & very well attended to. Water level was lower than expected, was ok, it was very hot outside that weekend. Sites very clean, not as private, but nice.
Camp host was very nice , friendly and very knowledgeable about the loops.. Would definitely recommend.

Site 29 was perfect. The tent pad being closer to the lake than the picnic, fire, and parking area was really nice. This site has a access to the lake via a steep five foot embankment. I left my paddle board tied up there. Plenty of privacy, although I didn't have anyone staying around me. Lots of wildlife to view.

Great site, and great weather, lake is a little low but its been dry as can be, so makes sense. But other than that it was perfect.
