Had a wonderful time all week and it rained 4 out of 6 days. Campsite was clean and quiet

Booked online for a campsite near the water. When I arrived I was told that The campsite chosen was not available and already occupied. I was then sent to three different campsites all of which were also occupied. Was finally given a campsite not on the water that was much smaller than originally intended. Dogs barking all night, and local sheriff driving by site with high beams on until well after dark. I left a day early.

Obnoxious drunks fighting right near a family with children. Local police called in.

Ideal location, everything very clean. The facilities great. Next time I will bring kayaks to investigate the lake. Hiking good and Folklife Festival was fun. The managers were a wealth of information and on top of management of facilities.

Salthouse is close by, and we've been coming here for years. We were checking out our new (old) mini 1986 toyota winnebago camper, and stayed down in the front section. Bathhouse is AMAZING! Super hostess greeted us at the gatehouse, friendly and helpful.
