3rd year coming to sunrise cabin(hoping on visiting annually) and im just in love with the atmosphere. Nothing fancy at all, but it has what it needs to create many memories. Perfect for the kids running around the yard and eating lunch picnic style outside. Has plenty of kitchen utensils to get any job done, just have to have a plan for trash as this is a pack in and out cabin. Would love to see many more years and have this be a place our kids go to when they're older, carry on the tradition. Though I'm starting to see the wear and tear as this cabin is very much loved. Guests, please treat it as you would your home, would love to see it maintained. Even if that means raising fees or donating to have this continue for generations. This is the 2nd year experiencing the fire pit not in use, but they had heat and cooling units in both upstairs and downstairs. This year only a unit down stairs, but that didn't bother us too much seeing as how our party could fit downstairs. The trails around the cabin are lovely if you want to keep the driving minimal, but there is the new river state park right up the road. Ivanhoe Access is less than 10 minutes, but do recommend bringing cash to park as service is minimal to pay online. We hope ya'll enjoy ya'lls stay just as much as we do!!

The cabin is a great value in a beautiful location. You will probably not have much cell service until you go outside. I will definitely stay again.

This is a very basic place. If you are looking for a private, no frills place it's a good option. Hard to find a 4 bedroom, 2 bath place for the price. We like the relative seclusion and enjoy that there are no other houses nearby. Unfortunately the fireplace is closed off (chimney needs to be repaired) and one of the baseboard heaters doesn't work. Some general maintenance is needed.
