Big Meadows was a wonderful campground. Very clean and felt safe each night. The showers and bathrooms were excellent. Friendly staff. We had the burgers at the Wayside and they were excellent! We had deer eat berries while we drank our coffee. We will be back!

Great park and campground with awesome trails! Check your site carefully before booking as most of them have large trees that can hinder access to site or putting out slides. Rangers were very helpful in getting us a different site.

I always love coming to Big Meadows, and this time was no exception. After my six nights, I didn't want to leave. The park is beautiful, and the people are nice and helpful. And I love the wildlife, as well as the easy access to hiking. I can't wait to visit again next year! 😊

Big Meadows is a great campground accommodating a broad range of users. It is also central to the park so a good springboard to multiple hikes, some not even requiring a drive. Also, for those who are interested in star-gazing, the Big Meadows area offers a great view of the open night sky.

Very peaceful, great views and lots of deer roaming around. Only complaint was cars and trucks going well over the 10 mph speed limit. Trucks pulling RV’s doing the same. It’s unsafe and why the hurry.

Not all "walk-in" sites are off the roads. No enforcement of quiet hours. Very loud "campers" all night.

Campground was well-run and clean, with sufficient amenities (showers, store, bathrooms, etc). Staff were friendly. Only issue was on one of our three nights a large loud group partied nearby until 4am. Rangers addressed them first thing in the morning, but not overnight while it was happening.

Campground was great, and our campsite was even better. It was away from the road and surrounded by brush so it gave it a more primitive and secluded feeling.
