great little group campsite..
The upper site needs leveling a little and some gravel..
The sites to the right need building up some, its very wet during the spring and when it rains...
other then that its great, quiet and secluded...

This is our second year spending Easter week at Old Virginia Horse Camp. We love it!!! It is quiet, about 25-30 mins to the nearest store, 1.5 hours horseback ride to the scales. They have a dumpster on site and 2 porta potties that are clean & changed once throughout the week. We love the fact that you have the whole camp to yourself. We plan to come again next year!

My husband and I, along with one of our children and 2 other couples and their children stayed an entire week here. We had the best time!! We stayed during spring break, 2022 and we experienced every type of weather possible. From days warm enough for shorts, to one day waking up to snow! The camp itself is spacious, beautiful, and secluded. Only takes about 25 minutes to get to a Walmart in Marion if you need it though. They provided portajohns and a dumpster on the campsite and we had plenty of places to tie our horses to. Only complaint is there is only a small creek to get water from for the horses but we made it work, also, there is a place for manure but you need to bring your own bucket or wheel barrel. Only took us about 1.25-1.5 hours to get to the scales from camp on horses. We will definitely be back many more times!

Love the area and been going here for years. It really needs some maintenance though, it is pretty shabby.
