What Guests Are Saying

Hopper Creek Group Camp offers a clean and spacious camping experience, with well-maintained facilities including a tidy outhouse and pleasant creek nearby. Many visitors appreciate the seclusion and proximity to hiking trails and attractions, making it a favorite spot for years. However, some maintenance issues, such as a rusted grill and debris from a fallen tree, have been noted, but overall, the site remains a cherished destination for campers.

We love Hopper Creek. Nice and shaded, clean bathroom. Only minus is the lack of potable water. Great camp!

It's a great group area that has a good, clean pit toilet. Bring your own water.

Our group had an awesome time at Hooper Creek. The toilet needed to be cleaned. The grounds are a gentle slope down hill. The warsh has exposed large tree roots, so be careful at night. The driveway and parking is nice. Quite and secluded.

The bathroom was clean and the campsites were free of debris. I've camped there for several years and thus know the routine regarding opening the gate and using the showers at Mountain Lake, but wonder about the experience of those new to the campsite, since there is no interaction with park employees. We did have sleep delayed Sat. evening due to the noise of folks somewhere nearby chasing after their baying hound dogs, but no one entered the campground.

Hopper Creek is one of the great old campgrounds. Clean and comfortable, spectacular setting. Maintained very well.

Best group camp site I've been to yet. Planned a college friends reunion camp trip here, plenty of spots for tents, parking is close and easy. The campsite is extremely open, lots of space for normal camping shenanigans. It's completely isolated from other campsites, unlike every other group campsite we've been too. No other campers within hearing range. It's also a LOT cheaper than any of the other campsites in the nearby national parks. A++ would highly recommend
