Cabin Camp 3

Great stay. Clean cabins. A two-prong outlet for 6 people capacity. Bring a surge protector to expand. Rented two of the many available cabins for seven of us. Had the other 15 join us the next day for breakfast and follow-on discussions. Park staff was very accommodating. We carpooled so only about 10 cars. Filled the parking lot but it worked. Grill worked great for brats the night before and for southwest scrambled eggs (brought our own charcoal and cast iron skillets) in the morning. Great fire pit. Used it the night before. Plenty of fire wood provided by the park, staged at the site. Bathrooms clean with plenty of stalls. Bear boxes to put out trash in. Late Aug. Had the whole of Site A to ourselves.

10/10 experience, camp was pristine as well as the bathrooms, the staff where nice & helpful, and the cabin gave me a very good nights sleep. Fantastic lodging alternative right off i95.

the cabins are really nice and clean. exactly what you expect. the bathrooms are down a gravel hill and are a little challenging to get to especially if you are on a knee scooter

Wonderful, peaceful weekend at this beautiful cabin in Prince William Forest. Highly recommend. This cabin is a walk from both car and bathrooms but worth it for the tranquility.

We got lucky and had the hole camp to our selves. But it was a wonderful time. Can’t wait to go back.

The only reason this is getting a 1 star is because I cannot give it a zero. I understand that we were camping and I understand that we were in nature. I also assumed that the cabin would be checked before we entered. Upon entry there was a strong ammonia smell, tons of bugs and more rat/mouse droppings than I expected. As we opened up the windows to air out the cabin, we found a snake...alive and well....and had clearly just eaten. We attempted to find the camp ground custodian to help us remove the snake but no luck. So, we removed the snake...no big deal, just a rat snake. Once the windows were open, we realized there were even more droppings than we thought and the cots were covered in rat/mouse droppings and urine...or some other liquid. Two were also chewed up and were too smelly to sleep on. At this point we were able to find the camp custodian who gave us disinfectant to wipe down the cots. We swept out the cots and floor to ensure safe air for our children. We shut the door and walked out a hike and a camp fire. About 9:30 we returned to the cabin to find mice, many mice...I counted 6 and stopped, told my husband to pack up because I was done and clearly NOT sleeping there. As i was gathering our things, I opened the cabin closets and found two mouse nests each about the size of a softball. Again, I get that we were out in nature but it was a little too up in my face and space for a rental we paid for.

We had all of unit B at Cabin Camp 3 to ourselves. The person staffing the camp was extremely friendly and helpful. She delivered several cords worth of firewood to use in the fire circle. Cabins were clean as was the bathhouse. Only gripe is that you had to drive to a trailhead as none were within walking distance without walking the road which is I’ll advised.

I liked the campgrounds , and the camp volunteer was very nice. I was disappointed though that my cabin did not have outlets for use. It did say on the website it had electricity, so that was a bit deceiving. That was cabin 5, so avoid that cabin if you want an outlet. Other than that, it was peaceful, I'd go again.
