Overall experience was great and we all had a fantastic time, the site was clean and comfortable. A few of the windows/ screens did not secure, or able to be secured due to missing latches. The only other thing we be having actual fireplace at the cabins would be nice instead of the small grills

Nowhere on the site did it list the check-in time, so I reserved a cabin for a daytime park exploration and a place to bed down at night. (it was a cabin reservation). It was only AFTER paying that I found out that I could not check-in to the cabin until 3PM, which means there was nowhere to stash the gear, nor time to set up camp before dark. So, we drove all the way out, looked around, and left without spending any time in the park. It's not a hotel. If check-in is at 3PM, that means the vast majority of the time a "stay" is scheduled for is in darkness, with a fraction of it in the daylight. It makes absolutely no sense. Check IN should be as early as NOON at the latest. Also, for the weeks leading up to the stay I was unable to get a hold of the "contact". I never received a return call, and attempted to call over 50 times in a 3-week period to avoid this, to no avail. There is no point in having a voicemail if they are never going to use it to return calls.

Maybe I missed it but I have rented cabins before and this one did not feel safe, underneath the cabin it is open and no glass only screens and shutters on the windows, if you are going in a big group you should be fine be I know I would not have been able to sleep standing guard over my family. It is very rustic with a campfire and bathrooms about 150yrds away. but it was not for me. We ended up rented a hotel room

From Washington, D.C., and points north, take I-95 south to exit 150-B toward VA Route 619/Joplin Road. The park entrance is the second right. Cabin Camp 3 is 2 miles from the park entrance along Scenic Drive.
From Fredericksburg, Virginia, and points south, take I-95 north to exit 150 toward VA Route 619/Joplin Road. Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp and continue on VA Route 619 West approximately 1/4 mile to the park entrance.
Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport are approximately 45 minutes drive-time from Prince William Forest Park. Baltimore/Washington International Airport and Richmond International Airport are 90 minutes away.
There is no bus service near the park. Local commuter buses may be available near the park via the PRTC system. Amtrak and Virginia Railway Express services are available in nearby Quantico, Virginia, approximately 5 miles from the park entrance. There is no public transportation directly to the park.
Cabin Camp 3 is accessible via I-95, with exit 150-B leading to VA Route 619/Joplin Road, approximately 2 miles from the park entrance.

Policies & Rules
General
- A maximum of 2 vehicles per reservation. THESE ARE WALK IN CABINS Parking is limited in the main parking lot area. Vehicles are parked in a central parking lot. Campers must walk to the cabins from between 550 feet/152 m (A Unit) and 900 feet/274 m (B Unit). Wheeled carts may be available to help with personal items.
- Entrance Fee. Prince William Forest Park charges an entrance fee separate from cabin fees. You may pay the fee upon arrival at the entrance station or purchase in advance. The park also honors valid America the Beautiful-the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands passes (also known as an interagency passes, e.g., Senior, 4th Grade, Military, etc.). - Fires and Firewood. Fires are not permitted outside of the provided grills. Firewood may or may not be available in the campground; If you bring your own firewood, it must be USDA certified ''bug-free'' firewood. Visit don'tmovefirewood.org.
- Age Limit. You must be 18 years of age or older to obtain a Cabin Camp permit.
- Maximum Stay. The maximum stay is 14 nights during a calendar year. Visitors can apply for a waiver for additional nights camping.
- No Food Concessions. Food concessions are not permitted in the park
- No Pets. No pets are allowed in the historic cabins (except service animals).
- No Smoking. Smoking is not permitted in any of the cabins or buildings.
- No tents or other structures. Camping tents, screen tents or other structures are not permitted in the cabin camp.
- No Moving Furniture. Removal or moving of picnic tables, beds, or mattresses is prohibited.
- No Electric Appliances. Electrical appliances (stoves, AC units, heaters, etc.) are prohibited.
- Property Damage. Vandalism of cabins and other buildings is against federal law and subject to stiff fines and/or prosecution.
