Love staying here! Such a great spot right out of D.C. just don't stay in B9 (it's next to a sewer drain) and know that it won't be a peaceful night's rest. If they have quiet hours they don't enforce them so people play music and such until the wee hours of the morning.

We stayed with our 6 year old for one night just to enjoy some fresh air and a fire. Our site was fabulous! Plenty of space between campsites as well as a nice fire pit, clean picnic table and a pole to hang out trash. The site was big enough for us to set up two tents, a hammock, and leash our dog to a tree with plenty of room to run around.
The bathrooms were heated, clean and had showers and hot water. Wonderful. Plenty of trash cans available. Leash dog friendly.
The only downside I would mention is the flight path that takes planes over the cano ground late at night and early morning. That bothers me as a light sleeper, but I mean we are only 35ish miles from the big cities so it shouldn’t be a shocker.

We stayed in site B03. Site was just long enough to fit our 25 1/2 foot motor home...a larger RV would extend into the road.
Very quiet, very few other campers during the mid-week period. Very pleasant. Rest rooms were well kept and very clean. Very shaded.
Warning to those with tall RVs: throughout Scenic Drive and the road into the campground. there ae currently many low hanging tree branches dangling into the roadway, driven there from winter snows and winds. While park staff are currently clearing them, the situation will worsen as the trees leaf out over the next few weeks. Our rig is only 11'3" tall, but still scraped branches numerous times, despite driving out into the most open lanes. The 12 feet height restriction is real.

We stayed at the campground with our two dogs. Our friends were in the spot next to us. The spot was beautiful with a view of the field to wake up to. We spent the night around the fire hanging out and listening to music. Good, relatively level ground for the tent, mostly rock free. There were some drills at Quantico being run (gun fire in the back drop or as I call it, the sound of freedom.) The bathroom facilities were well kept but a little walk from the spot. Campground is patrolled semi regularly by the Park Rangers, felt safe and comfortable the whole time.
