Very clean family park with above average sites. All sites are concrete pads and all grass. No dirt! Quiet. No rowdyness. Very close to all attractions. Much to see in the area. We were so happy we added on 2 extra days. Everything is extremely dog friendly. Our dog had the best vacation ever. And the cost was very reasonable while filling 10 days of stuff to do.

After staying here a little over a week, my impression of this place is that the cost per night for this cabin was way too high. We paid a little over $1200 for 9 nights. I guess I don't know what I was thinking but it was much smaller than what I thought it was going to be. There is absolutely no place to put your clothes. There is a queen bed and a set of bunk beds and if you're staying here with kids, you're gonna have to leave your clothes in the car because while you can store some things under the bunk bed, you can't put anything under the queen bed. The amount of floor space between the two beds is miniscule. Our bathroom faucet did not work on cold at all.If you turned it to cold, no water came out. This was the only sink to get any water. And in order to get hot enough water to shower, it had to be turned up on hot all the way. These are two things that really should have been checked out by management prior to our arrival. I did let the desk know that but declined to have maintenance look at it because our things were all over the cabin and our little dog was there while we were gone. For the positives, it was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. While we did make it work, it was not worth $120 per night. Would not stay again.

Very nice stay, campground beautiful. Had a great site! Room to spread out. Campground well manicured and clean. I was not happy about the fact there were no dog waste stations for bags available anywhere. Signs were everywhere to clean up after your pet but no bags. Not even a bag station in the dog park. Have not come across this anywhere on a KOA campground. The camp store was a little lacking, and the entryway sign was covered in a big bush. We visited the local amenities and did have a good time. I would come back again.

We stayed at American Heritage RV Park this past weekend and had a great experience overall. The location is hard to beat—being so close to Busch Gardens Williamsburg made getting back and forth super easy.
The sites were concrete, level, and well kept, and the bathrooms were very clean and nice. I do wish there was more than one bathhouse, as there’s only one in the middle, but it wasn’t a terrible walk—just something to keep in mind.
My daughter especially loved the nature trail, which was a nice bonus and gave us something relaxing to do at the campground.
My only complaint: while we were at Busch Gardens, we received a text that the water had to be turned off for a repair. Totally understandable—things happen. However, I do wish there had been a follow-up text letting us know when it was back on. When we got back, all I wanted was a shower, and it would’ve been nice not to wonder if the water was working or not. Small detail, but a little stressful at the time.
Overall, this is a very nice, clean, and well-located campground for anything in Williamsburg. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful campground located in a quiet spot off the main road. There is a train that runs through the area but the whistle is very faint so it was nice to hear but not over bearing.
Staff were super nice and helpful. Grounds were super clean, they're located very close to a lot of attractions.
Great visit will definitely come back!
