We have stayed at Jellystone Park in Williamsburg several times over the years and used to absolutely love coming here under the previous management. Unfortunately, our most recent stay was extremely disappointing.
During our weekend stay, the power went out, and what was most frustrating was the complete lack of communication from management. We received no meaningful updates or information about what was happening or when we could expect the power to be restored. Even more disappointing, there were no refunds or accommodations offered to guests despite the significant impact the outage had on our stay.
Things happen that are outside of a campground’s control, but how management responds to those situations makes all the difference. We understand that power outages can occur, but guests deserve communication, transparency, and some consideration when a major issue disrupts their stay.
It is very disappointing to see how much our experience has changed since the previous management. We used to look forward to coming here, but after this experience, we will seriously reconsider returning. I hope the current management takes this feedback seriously and recognizes that good customer service matters, especially when unexpected problems arise.

Everything was great. Booked last minute on a whim. Got an early check in for a tucked away cabin. Quiet, cute, and comfortable. Park was up dated. Kids loved the pool and bounce pillow best. People were incredibly helpful. Especially George the maintenance guy who helped us with our car (which was having battery trouble) and delivered our fire wood. Kids already begging to go back.

We have stayed at this campground for several years and always loved our stay. We were a little upset to see that it has been picked up by Jellystone. While Jellystones are great, our experience with our local one left us with a not so great impression. Our local Jellystone is mobbed with golf carts all day and late into the night some with stereo systems. This one seems to be headed that direction. Don't get me wrong, we love activities for kids and campers but the constant golf cart traffic is a no for us. They are everywhere. Fortunately our site set back off the main road so we could enjoy our fire and relax. Walking to the bath house was a little like playing frogger with kids driving golf carts. But worst of all, the bath house was not touched (other than emptying the trash) the entire time we stayed. By our last day it was disgusting. I walked in and walked out.

I'm hoping that these are all transitional problems but it wasn't the experience we were used to with previous owners/franchises. All of the workers were polite and welcoming with no exception. Delivery of fire wood to the camp site was great and the wood burned well. Our site was great although it was away from the wifi but we got through with our Hotspot.

This campground was recently changed to a Jellystone, so not all of the statues and signs are up. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed at a tent site and fair warning you should probably call to book if you haven't been before. Some of the tent sites are a decent walk from where you park. Overall, it was pretty and a positive experience so we will likely return.

We booked a pet friendly cabin about a week in advance. We had a 2 night stay in a basic cabin with water/ electrical and AC unit. Very nice little picnic table and canopy to set up our stove and space to cook. Large bed and bunk beds for the kids. So many cool activities as we stayed at the end of spring break on Easter weekend 2026. They had all kinds of kid activities, a nice pool, and scheduled events that kept us all entertained. Movie night with a blow up screen, egg hunts, tractor rides and plenty of pet friendly things as well. Really appreciate all the efforts put into our stay. All the staff was super helpful. We felt very happy with our decision to stay and we plan to come back again! Fun for the whole family, definitely worth it.
