We really enjoyed our 2-night stay. It is a quiet small campground nestled between the mountains. Many sites that are fairly level. Some sites with electric and some with water and electric which is not the norm for many National Forest campgrounds. Also has showers. Facilities could be somewhat cleaner and hence the rating. Also, some issues with water temperature. Same shower having comfortable water one day had frigid cold the next. Overall a good stay.
Warning: Watch out for the poison ivy. Of course, being in the mountains and next to a lovely flowing stream, that is to be expected.

Sweet campground, small and quiet. It was nice to see children exploring the creeks. Hosts were visible and helpful. My second site there was next door to the home of a very large bunny who blessed me with his/her presence on more than one occasion. Site was bordered by a beautiful display of blackberry blooms. Hope I make my way back to VA so I can visit again.

Smallest site at the campground. More of a tent site but it did fit my teardrop well. (4) bathhouses. No hot water first day at any. Only (2) had showers. Water warm at best. Only negative was no hot water. Campground host(s) work hard to maintain property. Good host(s). Super quiet place even for a holiday. My second time staying here and will be coming back later this year.

Bathrooms are a steep climb on grass for retired campers and the sign showing no hot water was not very welcome.
