Swinomish Casino and Lodge

I took my father out to lunch at Carver's Cafe inside the Swinomish Casino and Lodge. The food was delicious service was great I will go back. The other really nice thing was that they paid for my father's lunch because it was Father's Day so that was a nice surprise.

I booked 4 nights here in May as a base location to go whale watching from Anacortes. While it was about a 25 minute drive to where the whale watch tours leave from, I really enjoyed my stay. I was able to check in around 3pm & the room was huge! I booked a king room with view of the Bay. The view I had was of the RV park and the bay with a view of Mt. Shasta. The sunsets were amazing! The room was spotless. I could tell the housekeepers take a lot of pride in their work. There was a big TV , mini fridge, coffee maker with coffee, tea etc to make your morning brew. There was plenty of good quality towels as well. The lighting in the room was good & the blackout curtains allowed me to sleep in comfortably. The wifi worked great. The ladies working the front desk were very friendly & happy to share their suggestions of places to visit during my stay. I didn't eat in the hotel or play any casino games as I was there to see the whales. The parking lot was big & I felt safe coming back after dark & walking to the hotel as it was well lit. As a solo traveler I felt very safe staying there. I did fill up my rental car at the gas station next to the hotel & they had the lowest prices around for gas.

Nice and cozy. Not too big like a Las Vegas casino, still nicely maintained and clean. Completely smile free which was great. They have a few places to eat inside, did not try them. They close late night and are not 24 hrs on like Vegas

Conveniently off the main road, but no road noise. First stay here and check in was a little slow 🤷‍♂️ but also I had been driving for the last 9.5 hrs and impatient. Very friendly at check-in. Comfortable room all around. Nice view of the bay.

Had dinner at 13 moons for the first time. What a great experience. The staff was very helpful and recommended the Halibut for wife. She loved it. I had the tornadoes 2 4oz filet mignon one with blue cheese on it and one with mushrooms on it. Both were so tender I didn't really need the stake knife. We alos had the grilled shrimp appetizer and it was delicious. We will be back for my birthday.
