This campground was our favorite of the trip! It’s the perfect location for days hiking in Mt Rainier, with about a 5 minute drive to the entrance. The campground was peaceful and beautifully tucked away in the forest. Campsites had a good distance in between.

Host Brandon was delightful: friendly, helpful, and entertaining for our first time at this camp. Camp was quiet and remote yet close to entrance of Rainier NP, allowing us convenient early access to minimize our gate wait.

Big creek was a good choice for us as is a small campground just outside of Rainier NP. Because of our timing entry in RNP was no issue. However we saw signs along the road for entry stating if you are here it is a 3 hour wait to get into park. So just beware of that. Our stay at Big Creek was very nice - shady. The campground host Brandon was very helpful and was always around to help and answer questions.

Turnoff to campground wasn't well marked, but campground itself was well maintained. Camp site was easy to get in to and clean upon arrival. Campground was only 3 mi from Mount Rainier!!!!

I loved our site and this campground. It was so quiet other than the quiet hum of the road. The sites were spacious and private. I loved that the trail was right there. Only downside is that the smell of the bathrooms wafted through the campground, but that's not unexpected with pit toilets.

Beautiful campground! Clean, dark, peaceful. Close to the Mt Rainier Nisqually entrance. My sister and I stayed in spot 11 and there was lots of privacy. We could hear the creek at night. I hope to be back!

Perfect camp site for three families with two toddlers. Close to trails for hiking, park entrance, and good food. Camp ground is beautiful and well maintained. Felt very safe.
Also major shoutout to camp host Brandon who saved our butts when we had an Offroad adventure that resulted in a stuck vehicle. Thanks soooo much Brandon!!

Very peaceful location. Description stated no spots for trailers exceeding 20’ however there were several locations where larger trailers could easily be accommodated and were pull through spots. Knowing this I would love to come back again any season. Super cute small towns nearby as well as Mount Rainier. Excellent location.
