About Big Creek (Gifford Pinchot National Forest, WA)

Situated in the vicinity of majestic Mount Rainier, Big Creek is a family campground nestled among Douglas firs, hemlock, alders and maples. The lush vegetation offers plenty of privacy between sites. The sites at Big Creek form a loop, with only a handful of sites sitting along the banks of Big Creek. Open from mid-May through late September, Big Creek provides an alternative to the campgrounds at Mount Rainier National Park, which can get very crowded during the summer.

This campground was great! Each site has a decent amount of privacy. Located just outside Mt. Rainier. I would definitely stay here again

Except the borne fire, everything else was really good and top of it the space itself feels nature with provision of water and picnic table. I would like to book it again.

Camp site with no frills, but gets the job done! Sites were well maintained, bathrooms were as clean as vault toilets can be, and the dumpsters were easy to access. Plenty of open sites on a busy week.

The underbrush was a bit overgrown, but otherwise no issues in a one-night stay. Sites are relatively well-spaced, you don't feel like you're on top of your neighbors. Campground hosts are close to front; vault bathrooms were acceptably clean.

What a gem. Camped with a rtt on a Subaru, no issues setting up. The site sits next to a beautiful and cold creek, has clean outhouses, and is relatively private. I'd absolutely stop by again.
