What Guests Are Saying
Charbonneau Park and Campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities, particularly near the river. Many reviews highlight the park's cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere, with some recommending it for RV camping due to limited water hookups. While there are some concerns about understaffing and the need for restroom upgrades, overall, visitors express a strong desire to return and enjoy the park's scenic views and community feel.

My family enjoyed our stay at Charbonneau Park. Camp hosts are friendly.
This campground is a gem, with a few caveats. The lake is pleasant, and there are a few access paths where you can reach the water without trekking to the marina or day-use area. The sites are large and mostly level, with plenty of space between neighbors. If you need to fill your tank with fresh water, the dump station at the park entrance (NOT the campground entrance) is the best place. It's not well signed, so watch for it after you cross the railroad tracks. If we lived closer, we'd definitely return for another stay.

A VERY QUIET PLACE TO RELAX AND WATCH THE BOATS PASS BY ON THE SNAKE RIVER.

My family started coming to this park 25+ years ago. Same week every year. Same camp sites every year. Now that I have grown and have a family of my own we have started the tradition that I loved so much as a child; coming camping to this specific park. In the same month. In the same camp sites. It brought back so many memories while making whole new ones. Memories I will have forever.
The best swim area. The best camp ground. Clean bathrooms. Quiet. Green grass. You can’t find any place more perfect and gorgeous. Please don’t close this park. It’s loved by oh so many campers from all over.

We thought that the shade was very very helpful. The only thing that we thought could have been better was all tack weeds. The host was excellent 👌
