What Guests Are Saying
Charbonneau Park and Campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities, particularly near the river. Many reviews highlight the park's cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere, with some recommending it for RV camping due to limited water hookups. While there are some concerns about understaffing and the need for restroom upgrades, overall, visitors express a strong desire to return and enjoy the park's scenic views and community feel.

Everything was great. We actually live close by. I recently purchased a camp trailer and wanted to spend the night at a park close to home. We had a rainy stay but despite the weather, we were able to set up, tear down camp and empty our tanks all at the parks facilities. We had a good time even if the weather was a bit drippy.

Excellent stay! The hosts were wonderful to talk to. A little beach and playground make this a perfect place for kids! When my daughter's scooter broke, a maintenance guy who drove by offered to find replacement parts from the maintenance shop, and she was delighted when he found a part that worked! I also noticed grounds workers maintaining the park and cleaning bathrooms (which were very clean during our stay) in the morning. Beware of snakes, however. Within 5 min of arriving and starting to setup the tent, my daughter (who was exploring the tall grass nearby) yelled "there's a snake!" We think it was a bull snake (non venomous) since it didn't rattle (but looked an awful lot like a rattle snake). Otherwise, excellent place to stay! I hope to return with my family!

Charbonneau is an oasis. The weather always seems to be warmer. But the large grown trees give good shade coverage.
