This site was amazing. Easy to get into although it says it would fit a 40 ft trailer. We had a 23 ft. Trailer and it was a tight fit. One of our favorite campgrounds.

Me and my partner Andrew had a great time at Paradise Creek Campground. The campground was clean and well maintained. We stayed in space number two and it was perfect for our larger than normal tent.
We were there mid week and it was very quiet. Of the 40 or so campsites there were maybe five other campers there it did start getting busy on Friday night and Saturday, which is when we left.
There are no hook up amenities at this campground, other than non-potable water.
The nearest town is Carson Washington and it’s about a 25 minute drive. Another 10 minutes and you’re in Stevenson Washington. About 90 minutes from Portland.

The campground this year has a major rodent problem. Please look into it. I have camped at this campground for the past 40 years and never seen anything like it.

The forest is amazing. The creek is clear and fun, lots of tiny fish.
Our campsite has chipmunks, squirrels and a very 1/2 eaten mouse that ran around, (even on us) but then it is the forest.
Everyone was quiet during quiet times. Always a peaceful visit. Just really hard to get a site.

It was clean and quiet. We enjoyed the nearby Lava Butte hiking trail at the campground. It was about 8 mi from the local convenience store where you can get some internet connectivity and drinking water. They also provide nice clean restrooms.

Paradise is a lovely campground. Mature forest with some remaining old growth. Sites are large and reasonably private. We brought our own water because the onsite well water is full of iron ( safe to drink, but with an iron taste ) The camp host was sweet and friendly. Outhouses were clean and didn’t stink.

Sites have fair distance and trees between each site for good privacy. I had a group where I ended up getting a double site on arrival that most met at, yet each had tents at reserved sites. Not far to see St Helens and do things near it.

Take Highway 14 to Carson. From Carson, travel about 19 mi northwest on Wind River Highway. The campground is between mile post 20 and 21.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Vehicles & parking
- Off-road vehicles are not allowed in the campground.

Fires & fuel
- Do not move firewood to protect local forests from invasive species.
- Firewood can be purchased for $10.00 per bundle at the host site.
Fees & deposits
- There is an extra vehicle fee of $8.00 per night.
