Panhandle is a beautiful and well-maintained campground, with spacious sites and clean bathrooms. Guests enjoyed their time there, highlighting the scenic river views and friendly camp hosts. Panhandle is a fine campground. But I will not glorify it, I would choose to not see increased use. Wallys from the city are the main reason we have fires in our woods.
But for the management, Mike and Mary are exemplary hosts. They come out and meet every new entry, the heads are pristine, Mike is out and about at dawn, never encountered better site management.

Beautiful and clean campground, swimming area and boat launch. Be careful of bee' s when cooking outside. Good fishing

The campground is beautiful, tucked between the highway and river. We enjoyed the privacy created by the lush vegetation around our campsite. The restroom was always clean. We appreciated that the host stopped by to give us materials on bear safety, and he wore a mask and maintained social distance.
