I wish the areas around the picnic table and fire pit would have been mowed to make it more enjoyable to hang out in those areas.

Great place to stay if you're on a road trip. We stayed here only one night as it was on the way to North Cascades NP. Looked like most sites had a little slope to them so you'll definitely want some leveling blocks/jacks. Our site had a nice picnic table, bear food locker and a fire ring, along with a beautiful view of the river right behind us. It's a little out in the middle of nowhere, but that also meant that it was a very quiet and private campground. There was also only one other site taken besides the host's site. Restrooms are just pit toilets, so not the nicest set up, but overall we enjoyed our one night stay here. We would definitely book a spot here again if we are ever back in the area.

So this place is pretty but the camp host is so unbelievably RUDE AS HELL. Not present leaving no way to contact them and at least 5 other people standing around waiting for him to show for hours. We set up all of our stuff on our camp and went to get the cash for the site next too us when he brings another camper in when we were reserving it already. Unbelievably do not recommend this place

We had a great time at Panhandle campground. We had a great view of the river and very clean site. There was water available and a very clean virtually bug free toilet. Our host, John was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about the area, the fishing, and anything else we asked. So fun and a great experience.

The site is nice and was clean but the logging trucks were super loud all night so we left a couple days early.

Campground COULD be awesome, but too many negatives that we ended up cutting our weekend short. Too much noise from road across the way. The crapper was next to our site & the evenings when the wind shifted it blew nastiness right by us as we were trying to enjoy the fire pit. The site is over grown, grass needs mowing, trees need to be trimmed. Since our site was right near the “swimming area” we had all kinds of people walking by our camp site! Other sites are more private. We only saw the host upon arrival, not very friendly! We will not be going back!!!
