Jones Bay Campground is about 18 miles north of Wilbur, WA situated on Lake Roosevelt out in the middle of nowhere surrounded by range land, farmland and forest. The roads to the campground are a mix of paved & dirt or dirt w/gravel. Some wash boarding on the dirt/gravel roads and did go down to one lane the closer you got to the campground, but all in all decent roads. It's a small campground, with 2 tent sites and 7 RV sites, each has a picnic table and fire ring. There is a vault toilet, but no trash service so "Pack In/Pack Out". The campground does have a boat launch and 2 floating piers/docks. We were the only campers there and saw no one else other than a couple that came to fish and several very friendly rangers (was told it was graduation week in the neighboring towns and due to the cooler temps). They were doing some work at Grand Coulee Dam, so while we were there the water was 10' or more. It was very quiet and peaceful, and we would definitely come again if we were in the neighborhood. Site 3 was large enough for our 32' TT and 22' truck, had a little shade and did need some leveling. Road within the campground was easy to navigate.
Wilbur and the surrounding small towns have small markets, fuel, and restaurants but would recommend having supplies, fuel and water before arriving.

It's always great to be at Jones Bay. The campground is small and so off the beaten path that there is only people there that enjoy the experience of getting away from the noise of civilization. We have never in the years we have been going there had loud neighbors keeping us awake at night. It is worth not having running water and pit toilets only to be in such a beautiful place. If you love just enjoying peace and quiet and splendid scenery this is the right place. Beware that your auto will need major cleaning when you get home as there are miles of dusty gravel roads to get there.

One way in and one way out. Other than the drive to the campground, which was a little bigger than a 1 car road with quite a bit of wash boarding. AMAZING campground, will definitely be going back! The water was extremely low this time of year but still fun on the paddle boards.

The Campground was free of garbage however the Campsites and trails were somewhat overgrown with noxious weeds. Hundreds of Pinecones were on the ground within the campsite perimeters. I felt the site was neglected and in need of attention. Overall a very beautiful location, the lake was refreshing to swim in. The Vegetation was extremely dry for mid June. A Red Flag warning with high winds pushed us out a day earlier than we anticipated leaving.

Jones Bay is 77 miles from Spokane as you head west on I-90. Drive 3 miles west on I-90 take exit 277 for US 2 West toward the Spokane Airport/Davenport. Stay on US two traveling through Airway Heights. About 55 miles turn right onto Sherman Draw Rd. N. in 4.3 miles turn left on Sherman Rd. E. Follow for 2 miles then turn right onto Jones Bay Rd. N. The campground is 3 miles down a sandy narrow road.
If coming from Wilbur, WA Jones Bay is 1 miles. Head East on NW Main Ave toward SE Division St. Pass Key Bank 0.2 miles. Turn left on NE Brace St. follow 2 miles. Turn right onto Sherman Rd E. 1 mile. Turn left onto Hanson Harbor Rd. follow for 7.6 miles. Slight right onto Jones Bay Rd. N. In 3 miles you will arrive in the campground.
ALERT: Make sure you are intending on coming to Jones Bay on Lake Roosevelt. There is also a Jones Bay on nearby Steamboat Rock State park.

Arrival & departure
- All sites require a reservation; no first-come, first-served sites are available. Make reservations in advance due to lack of cell service.
- Please bring your reservation confirmation and complete the green slips at the Fee Board upon arrival.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Utilities
- No site hookups for electricity, water, or sewer are available, and there is no potable water.
Safety & rules
- Vault toilets are provided at the campground.
- Using metal detectors or collecting artifacts is prohibited.
- Generators cannot be used during quiet hours.
Pets
- Pets are welcome but must be kept restrained at all times.
Vehicles & parking
- Off-road vehicles are not allowed in the campground.
- Off-road parking is not allowed; please use designated parking areas only.
Fires & fuel
- Fires are allowed in fire rings year-round unless there is a critical fire danger level.
- Do not move firewood; obtain it near your camping destination to prevent pest spread.
Fees & deposits
- Weekly boat launch permits must be purchased online before your trip; annual permits are available in person.
