What Guests Are Saying
Fort Spokane is praised for its beautiful, spacious campsites, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a great spot for family camping and outdoor activities like fishing and hiking. Many visitors appreciated the quiet atmosphere and easy access to amenities such as water and boat ramps. However, some concerns were raised about noise from partying campers, availability of toilet paper, and the need for more law enforcement presence. Overall, the campground offers a pleasant experience, especially for those looking for a peaceful getaway.

Wonderful camp sites. Very clean. Could have had a few more rolls of tp in the outhouses. They ran out by Sunday.

Rates went up and service went down. Surprise. Had to ask for someone to put tp in vault. The pine needles were piled up right in the middle of campsites and roads. Campsites that were expecting guests that day.

We were kept up all night by people partying way past 10 PM running their generators. One guy was peeing off the top of his RV. On the other side, we had the walk-ins in the walk-in parking lot. There’s a group up there. Also partying the max parking for the walk-in is four vehicles. However, there must’ve been 15 or more scattered around parking lot throughout the night. We had people walking through our campsite, trying to park in our campsite.
Both of these situations made it very uncomfortable and made us feel unsafe camping there with family. I was very disappointed. I grew up going to there and never had that experience. We always had a park Ranger walking around at night checking in with everyone. It took us having to go bug the camp host several times and calling the sheriff which then felt like we had a target on us.
I’ll be back, but I’m hoping things have changed otherwise I won’t return again.

The campground is well laid-out with easy access to drinking water, bathrooms and garbage cans. The boat ramp and docks are in great shape with lots of parking spaces. Our only negative was the large number of people using gas generators.

Pretty standard fall camping trip. Vault toilet was locked! We didn’t expect that. We knew the toilet wouldn’t be running but the pit toilets are usually open. I guess be prepared for that.

We stayed after the busy season, and so had almost complete privacy. Loved it. It's all boondocking so come prepared to either go without electricity or create your own. Our site was mostly sunny so we did a little of both over the week we were there. Big fires were pushing smoke into the area so had to supplement with generator.
Lots of bird watching from our site. Eagles in the morning. Flickers and juncos all day. Dozens of others that may have been migrating through.
Not a lot for hiking. We did day trips around the area.
Potable water at the dump station. there is a fee even for campers to use the dump station. You can pay online while there. We enjoyed it, but some will find it too remote and rough. There are other choices with hook ups so do those if that's you.
