Jones Bay Campground is about 18 mi north of Wilbur, WA situated on Lake Roosevelt out in the middle of nowhere surrounded by range land, farmland and forest. The roads to the campground are a mix of paved & dirt or dirt w/gravel. Some wash boarding on the dirt/gravel roads and did go down to one lane the closer you got to the campground, but all in all decent roads. It's a small campground, with 2 tent sites and 7 RV sites, each has a picnic table and fire ring. There is a vault toilet, but no trash service so "Pack In/Pack Out". The campground does have a boat launch and 2 floating piers/docks. We were the only campers there and saw no one else other than a couple that came to fish and several very friendly rangers (was told it was graduation week in the neighboring towns and due to the cooler temps). They were doing some work at Grand Coulee Dam, so while we were there the water was 10' or more. It was very quiet and peaceful, and we would definitely come again if we were in the neighborhood. Site 3 was large enough for our 32' TT and 22' truck, had a little shade and did need some leveling. Road within the campground was easy to navigate.
Wilbur and the surrounding small towns have small markets, fuel, and restaurants but would recommend having supplies, fuel and water before arriving.
