About Hawk Creek Campground

Hawk Creek Campground is tucked back from the lake on Hawk Creek. The campground is popular, but small enough to feel private and secluded. A small waterfall adds ambiance to this beautiful and unique campground. Hawk Creek is close to Fort Spokane Visitor Center, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle. A courtesy dock provides access to Lake Roosevelt.

The access road going in and out is very narrow and seems unsafe in some areas. The entire campground was sort of taken over by a party crowd. This made our stay less than a peaceful experience. If we had been part of the party, I 'm sure we would have loved it.

I spent one week at Hawk Creek campground… The waterfall is beautiful… In the morning, the fog rolled in, so it gave us a nice beautiful morning to wake up to on the lake… Town is a little far away… But that is good because that’s why we are here to get back to nature!! If you come here bring a fishing pole. It is awesome… I caught one fish and two bites!! Have fun!

We had a reservation but arrived pretty late. There was no paper at the campsite we reserved. Luckely there were only two other campers so we didn’t have any issues

Upon arrival we thought we had found paradise. The site was empty and the landscape was beautiful. At two in the morning a truck arrived in the loop. Headlights on. Flashlight on. The individual walked the loop pointing the light at our site repeatedly. After an hour the person left. At 4 another truck entered. Neither of us could sleep with the disturvances so we packed up and left.
