Hawk Creek Campground offers a picturesque setting with beautiful waterfalls, ample shade, and opportunities for kayaking and fishing, making it a great destination for nature lovers. However, some visitors experienced issues with noise from partying crowds, narrow access roads, and sanitation concerns, particularly with the restrooms. The campground is great! Water was low when we arrived, which made kayaking great fun with the fish all around us. Mid June and the carp were spawning. The water rose over the next few days and the campground filled. Most people were great. Of course there was a family that didn’t put their pitbull on a leash and so there was a dog fight with injuries. They mostly kept it on a leash after that. We saw lots of water, foul, fish, a beaver, deer and yes, my husband even saw a small black bear!

Campground was nice. Bathrooms were not serviced while I was there. Campers near had loud stereo playing during the day. Some people seemed to be transient homeless people living in their car. A common theme these days. Some firewood was stolen overnight and my water jug was moved from picnic table towards the road and some water taken lid left in dirt. This made me uncomfortable having strangers in my campsite while I was sleeping.

I ussually love this campground but the water level was to low . Could not use my boat there at the launch . They should extend that launch or get rid of the cement launch cause I could have launched my boat there no problem.

The campground itself is clean but the road getting there was terrible on our equipment. The holes in the road are crazy big.

I was camping there in my truck camper, no tent. Somebody stole my camping chair and firewood while I was on a hike. Rangers came during another day and moved my another chair and garbage bag to the restroom. I guess they assumed I was not camping there anymore, because I didn't have my truck in the campground. I wish they made enough effort and read my permit at the camping spot. They would see I booked the camping spot for few more days
