Hoh Rainforest Campground

No running water at the bathrooms! Seriously! The sites were nice, flat and roomy but no showers or water. Also took us 2 hrs in park entry traffic to get to the site.

Great spot. Check in after 5 to avoid Hoh Traffic. We did Hall of Mosses from the campground after 6 and had it to ourselves. Nice bathrooms. Large sites.

Overall, this is a beautiful place to visit. The trails were wonderful and park staff terrific. With that said, there are some BIG negatives. The wait time to get into the park, campsite size, and lack of privacy are the biggest negatives. The campsites are close together and many don’t even have trees for shade. The time you spend in line waiting to get into the campground is ridiculous. We arrived in the recommended time window and still waited for over an hour. Two days later, we waited for 5 hours to get back into our camp after leaving to get ice at 8 am.
If you come to the Hoh, don’t leave the park until you are ready to go home!

Camp site 62c was perfect! Little bit in from the road, lots of space! Shaded area mostly!
Only the bad things about it is that there is no stores around it and if you drive out for something, you end up being in long line at the entrance.

Sink water faucets not working so had to use spigot on outside of bathroom for water/hand washing

I absolutely loved staying at Hoh Rain Forest Campground! I had campsite #49, and it felt very private and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful rainforest. The campground itself is gorgeous and very well maintained, with clean restrooms and convenient places to fill up with water.

One of my favorite things was the amphitheater and the ranger programs they offer. I attended a talk about local wildlife and conservation, including salmon, whales, and other species in the area, and I genuinely learned a lot. It was such a nice addition to the camping experience. There were also short ranger talks in the morning near the Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center, which I really enjoyed.

Overall, I had such a great experience here. Between the beautiful and private campsite, good facilities, and the ranger programs, it was a really special place to stay. I would absolutely come back!

Wonderful time at the Hoh Rainforest campground. I biked in so didn’t have any wait. Staff at the campground were polite and friendly. The morning I left the Roosevelt Elk walked through my campsite. Amazing!
