Hoh Rainforest Campground

It is so beautiful here, you could easily spend a week taking day hikes. I just had time to get around the hall of mosses, which was truly amazing and just right next to the campsite.

It was incredibly tranquil and quiet. Our tent site backed up to the river and there was a mama elk and her twin babies grazing directly next to us. Everyone was respectful of the space and the communal bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Highly recommend and wish I were back there right now.

Location! This space is nicely located on the outer further side of the campground along the river. The site is nice and flat and could nicely & safely accommodate more than one tent. The bathroom (clean and maintained) was close by and parking was breeze for a Corolla and BMW touring bike. Generally a nice quiet setting aside from the occasional screaming kiddos. Definitely on the edge of wilderness and a MUST to make sure to lockup everything at night.

Did not feel like the rainforest at all. Sites were good. Bathrooms were clean and maintained. Cell service was nonexistent and no soap in any bathroom at the campground.

Camping in the Hoh Rainforest was amazing. It truly one of the coolest places I've ever been too. The Hall of Mosses is a must, and its a very easy/short hike. I will definitely be coming back to experience more of the park. The campgrounds are well maintained and have probably the cleanest camp bathrooms I've seen.

The only downside is that if you do leave the Hoh Rainforest to see other areas in the park, you will probably have to wait hours to get back in, as the entrance back into Hoh often has insane wait times. It makes it hard to see other things outside the rainforest. I wish there was a separate line for people who have campsites but I know that is probably difficult to implement. You unfortunately just have to decide if leaving for the day is worth it and if you are willing to wait hours to get back into the campgrounds. Regardless the Hoh Rainforest is def worth the trip!

Awesome camp lot, easy access to the river and we were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the river flowing which was nice. Bathroom access is straight across the lot so wasn't far at all. We were able to fit 2 tents (2 person & 3 person) along with 2 vehicles (CUV and Tacoma). Views were immaculate and amenities were clean. The bathrooms were heated with hot water at night; the dish washing station was cold water only. No signal. 4th of July weekend so getting into entrance looked like ~2hr wait if not more depending on time. If you're going at peak summer season, recommend getting to park entrance by 10AM to avoid the wait. Make sure you stock up (food, drinks, etc.) before so you don't have to make trips out of the park, since you'll have to wait each time just to get back in. If you do need to come back, aim for late afternoon after 5PM. Even with the wait, highly recommend!

Loved our stay here! Easy access to a few good trails. We also loved the access to the Hoh River. Spent hours sitting riverside and swimming in the beautiful river!
