Camping in lush undisturbed forest is the perfect vacation for stressed city dwellers.
Elk, forest mice and even little moles added to our experience.

In the campground, Loop A has more sun, less trees, better cell coverage (Verizon), Loop B more trees.

Beautiful rainforest with cleanly accommodations nearby. They offer a variety of sites based on what you’re looking for. The wait is quite long to get in as stated on the site.

Our site was a bit tight for our 5th wheel & truck. The information provided on the recreation.gov site indicated our 5th wheel would fit, but didn't account for the extra length of the vehicle used to tow it.

We had perfect blue sky days in the mid-70’s to walk all through the Hoh campgrounds, and many of the trails. Everything we saw spoke of excellent management, from the tidy site clearings, to the trails, immaculate restrooms, and the very friendly rangers in the Visitor Center. One morning, a bull elk walked through an empty lot near our site, as he slowly made his way down to the river, and twice we enjoyed watching a doe with her two spotted fawns. The location enabled us to spend time visiting Rialto Beach before our Hoh stay, and an early start on our last morning to sightsee along the North coast before heading home. It is a peaceful, beautiful location, with dark-sky star watching as an added bonus.

Hoh is great but many of the people staying there are not. There are hundreds of signs announcing the ban on fires and many campers still started fires in their sites. Half the country is on fire! These people are idiots and the camp host/management did a bad job of putting out the fires.

Awesome campground! Immaculate bathrooms. Plenty of space so you don’t feel like you are on top of other campers. Quiet. Hall of mosses in a fun close easy hike through the gorgeous rainforest And ruby beach is a quick 30 minute drive away!
