Hoh Rainforest Campground

Excellent !!!
Nice spots, so clean, so big and so quiet

Amazing experience. We stayed at 61C and the site was beautiful but we barely fit two tents in it. Never got a bug bite and we were camping in August. Did get rained on but expected as we are camping in a rainforest.
Bathrooms were new and so clean.
Things we did next to the campground:
1. Walked along the river bank. We were in loop c and access is right from the loop. We saw a herd of 20 Roosevelt Elk just lounging with their young.
2. Walked 3 miles on the Hoh River Trail to a small waterfall. Did the Hall of Mosses (my favorite as it is the old part of the rainforest) and the Spruce Nature Trail. All three trails start at the Visitors Center which is about a 6 minute walk from loop C.

Things we did outside the campground:
1. Dinner at Hard Rain Cafe. They also let you use their showers if the campground is not full for about $5 per person. This is just 25 min from the campground.
2. Forks and all the Twilight sites. Lunch at Pacific Pizza. The margherita pizza was delicious. This is about an hour and fifteen minutes from the campground.
3. La Push’s First Beach which is right next to Rialto Beach. You can see two islands with trees growing on top and driftwood on the beach.
4. Saw the Tree of Life at Kalaloch Campground’s beach and did the Kalaloch Nature Trail.

Great campground! It was my second time staying and I very much enjoyed it. Nice sites with plenty of room for tents and sturdy picnic tables. Bathrooms were pretty clean.

loops A, B, C. i stayed in loop A. have a center open area. with small river running through back of 1 side of loop. Loop C is full of trees and ferns. LOOP B one side has very good view of big part of river. i liked loop A. good center open area to see stars and for kids to play in. most ppl hike the hall of moss and spurce nature trail and hoh river trail to see tom creek. which can be hiked in 1 day. but if you gonna backpack then there's plenty of parking for you. we stayed for 4 nights which is way too much. hindsight i would just stay for 2 nights. but 2 days we drove to sol duc to hike to sol duc falls which was very good trail and visited kalaloch beach which kids can play in the sand and see sand dollars. so thats productive. it can take over 2 hrs waiting to get through the entrance station between 8-5pm. i highly recommend enter after 5pm. no cars waiting to enter.
