I stayed in the campground (C loop) and it was very enjoyable and peaceful. Although the campground was full, it became very quiet early. Bathrooms were clean. My campsite was spacious and the tenting spot was soft and level. I could easily see the campsite across the loop road from me but the rest of the campsites were not visible due to the thick vegetation between sites. Getting to the various trails from the main parking lot like the Hall of Mosses from the campsite was trivial. Camping nearby and going to walk the trails was great because by mid-morning the lot was already overflowing with day visitors.

Great campground, a lot of good sites, especially those by the river. New facilities that were always clean. Great spot for beating the crowds in the morning.

This is a beautiful location and a nice facility. It seems like something could be done about the long wait to get in. We tried to arrive early, but that is difficult when the Hoh is so far from population centers. I printed up my info ahead of time, but that doesn’t help much if you are in line with all others who do not. I realize that a second lane for those with paperwork is problematic with environmental concerns of marsh area and river, but we waited 1.5 hours and only had one night camping. Many people gave up and turned around, which left empty spaces in the campground.
