Hoh Rainforest Campground

Lovely campsite with great amenities and clean bathrooms. We enjoyed the ranger talks in the evenings and got to hike the Hall of Mosses before the trail got busy. Only downsides were that our the site we chose that looked like it was riverfront on the map wasn’t actually able to see or access the river. There was also a decent amount of mosquitoes in the evenings so bring bug spray! I would recommend Fairholme or Heart O’ the Hills over Hoh Rainforest campground, but it was still a great campground.

Amazing place, camping was great, can’t wait to go back

This campground was fantastic. Our campsite felt secluded even though it was right next to the bathrooms. The location was amazing and I hope to return someday!

We got in late on purpose with the warnings there are long lines to enter; no line when we got in which was perfect. The bathrooms were stocked and clean as can be for a campground. We booked one night so we could start our backpack trip to the Blue Glacier the following day. So much easier than driving a long distance in the early morning. Plus, no trouble finding a parking spot at 8am while in the campground. When booking the reservation, I had the campsite in the cart before 7am, then at 7am, I was able to secure the booking. I find popular campgrounds book so quickly even when starting the process when it opens. The area is cute, great hiking, and exploring especially with the river (if you like water) so close.

We enjoyed most of the Ranger talks and found them interesting. The line to get the campgrounds at midday was ridiculous. Plan on being Prisoner in the campground unless you come back in at 5:00. There is no side lane for campers to access their campsites without waiting to get in the park again. Ye campsite itself was nice.

Amazing setting and wonderful to be able to walk to the Hoh Rainforest trails instead of fighting for parking. Be aware that site 17 A has almost no shade, and we were there on a couple of unusually warm and sunny days. Also, very bad water situation in Loop A. The sinks in the women's restroom and the outdoor utility sink were broken, the ONLY source of potable water was one faucet low to the ground on the side of the restroom building (I did hear later in our stay that the sinks in the men's room and family restroom were working), hopefully they will be able to fix them soon!

Campground was fantastic, and the site we got was wonderful - deep in the moss covered trees, nice and quiet in a tent-only part of the campground. The one negative was that the faucets in the bathrooms were having issues, so most of them were turned off or not working right... hopefully that gets fixed soon.
