What Guests Are Saying
The Hoh Rainforest Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting, with clean facilities and friendly staff. Campers enjoyed the spacious sites, easy access to hiking trails, and educational ranger programs, which enhanced their experience. However, many noted issues with the lack of running water in restrooms and long wait times to enter the park, which could detract from the overall experience.

One of the better shaded sites in A loop, with close access to path leading down to the river.

Wonderful time at the Hoh Rainforest campground. I biked in so didn’t have any wait. Staff at the campground were polite and friendly. The morning I left the Roosevelt Elk walked through my campsite. Amazing!

Sink water faucets not working so had to use spigot on outside of bathroom for water/hand washing

Overall, this is a beautiful place to visit. The trails were wonderful and park staff terrific. With that said, there are some BIG negatives. The wait time to get into the park, campsite size, and lack of privacy are the biggest negatives. The campsites are close together and many don’t even have trees for shade. The time you spend in line waiting to get into the campground is ridiculous. We arrived in the recommended time window and still waited for over an hour. Two days later, we waited for 5 hours to get back into our camp after leaving to get ice at 8 am.
If you come to the Hoh, don’t leave the park until you are ready to go home!

I absolutely loved staying at Hoh Rain Forest Campground! I had campsite #49, and it felt very private and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful rainforest. The campground itself is gorgeous and very well maintained, with clean restrooms and convenient places to fill up with water.
One of my favorite things was the amphitheater and the ranger programs they offer. I attended a talk about local wildlife and conservation, including salmon, whales, and other species in the area, and I genuinely learned a lot. It was such a nice addition to the camping experience. There were also short ranger talks in the morning near the Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center, which I really enjoyed.
Overall, I had such a great experience here. Between the beautiful and private campsite, good facilities, and the ranger programs, it was a really special place to stay. I would absolutely come back!

Camp site 62c was perfect! Little bit in from the road, lots of space! Shaded area mostly!
Only the bad things about it is that there is no stores around it and if you drive out for something, you end up being in long line at the entrance.

No water in sinks in loop A, no water at spigots outside bathrooms either. There was no communication about this to us prior to arriving. Clean bathrooms otherwise. Flush toilets. Had a frustrating time dealing with other inconsiderate campers, their kids were encouraged to come into our campground from their guardian and allowed climb a tree (literally right next to our picnic table during our breakfast, I wish I was kidding), playing frisbee right outside our tent (on the grass a foot away from our tent) and in front of our vehicle at 7:00AM (standing in our driveway, we asked them to move so our car wasn’t damaged). After speaking to ranger, they said there was no rule stating they couldn’t do that as long as no damage has been done. I want kids to have fun and enjoy their time outside but wish they would do so in a public area or their own campsite, or in a nearby uninhabited space. I blame the lack of funding provided for these parks in recent times :(
Waking up in Hoh was great so to avoid the insane line driving into the forrest.
