What Guests Are Saying
Mora Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites nestled in a lush coastal forest, offering privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. Its proximity to Rialto Beach and various hiking trails enhances the camping experience, making it an ideal base for exploring Olympic National Park. While some facilities, particularly bathrooms, could use more attention, and there are no showers available, the overall charm and natural beauty of the campground make it a favorite for many campers.

This is my very favorite campground. Every campsite has its own advantages, nestled in the coastal forest. There are many “nurse-log” trees that have outgrown their nursery - these ancient stumps that gave the now-mature trees their start in life have now rotted away, leaving a cathedral of elevated, exposed roots. I’ve been coming to Mora for 50 years and am still fascinated by the sight of these natural sculptures.
The thunderous ocean is only 2 miles away, and the hike to Hole-in-the-Wall is a must. Bring lunch and consult the tide schedule,
My grandson and I always drive to La Push, only 12 miles away, to visit beaches 1, 2 and/or 3, but otherwise we are happy just to explore the campground and Rialto Beach.

It's a wonderful location and beautiful campground. Close to so many sights- 1-2 miles from Rialto Beach and Hole in the Wall which is AMAZING, and just a short drive from Forks, La Push, and many other places. The only downside to this campground which I didn't realize ahead of time is that there are no showers there! Holy cow! That said- I'd still say it's totally worth it. I found showers at another nearby campground as well as the rec center in Forks. A bit of a pain but still a really lovely campsite and location can't be beat.

The location is beautiful. The reservation process was/is a nightmare. The burn ban should not apply in a rain forest if/when everything is wet and it should be better announced and clear when making reservations and when arriving. Most of the staff I saw in my two consecutive weekends at this campground were very pleasant, one was not.

More than one potable water location was out of service. The sanitary dump station was designed in such a poor way that tanks wouldn’t drain well. The restrooms were not clean and not maintained. Staff were generally unseen.

lovely area to camp- best for tenting as the sites are small.

This campground is beautiful, the sites are clean, the bathrooms are clean. It's also pretty quiet as the only road nearby just goes to Rialto. It's perfectly located to get to Forks, Rialto beach, La Push, etc.

Mora is my very favorite place—I’ve been tent camping here for 35+ years. I like the fact that big motor homes don’t fit, so it’s a better experience than some other campgrounds for those who prefer actual camping over RVing.
D loop bathroom has been poorly maintained for years and years. Spend the five bucks and fix the latches on the doors on the women’s side!
It’s a good home base for day trips to Ruby beach, Neah Bay, several rain forest access roads. Nice little cafe and store down the road for burgers, fish, ice cream.

The site I had was small and it was difficult to find a flat enough space to pitch my tent. Also, many dead branches hanging over the entire site. I had a plan to sleep in the car if there was any wind that night, which there wasn’t. Proximity to the beach was great.
