Great sites, more private than I expected. Very cold in May but beautiful. Can’t wait to go back

Great campgrounds, super clean and spaced far apart so it feels very private. The lake itself is gorgeous with good trails back and forth and thousands of tiny frogs hopping along the beach. We had a great stay, would recommend to anyone looking to camp near Mt. Rainier.

great experience for our first time here. Site 19 was a little small we have a large tent and two small tents for the kids. The kids placed their tents on the hill to the side and that allowed us to get our larger tent in the spot. The spaces are spread apart and private. We will be back.

Spent 5 days at Bumping Lake with my family. We were in the upper campground #16. It was nice and there was plenty of space between camp sites. The vault toilets were very clean. Drinking water was easily accessible. Access to the lake was fairly easy and short (5 minutes walk). The reservation site showed almost all the sites as reserved; however, only about half were used, which means we had neighbors only a couple of nights. The only downfall was that the dumpsters were super full for several days. We arrived on a Monday and they were already full (probably from a busy weekend). They weren't emptied until Thursday. Not a huge issue. We were able to find a dumpster near the end of the campground, which gave us another reason to go for a nice walk each day. I would definitely recommend this place!

This is a beautiful location. We loved walking around the lake. It was also close to the Paradise visitor center where we took a hike with glorious views of Mount Rainier. I'd recommend finding a camp spot near the bathroom. The nearest one for us was a bit of walk, and not doable in the dark.

Excellent place for camping, very spacious places lake is not too far from campsites, plenty of space between sites our site was a bit on the dusty side (powder like) and during our stay there was a fire ban, but over all is a great place for camping
