Good camping experience…nice campground. Not a lot of shade…might bother some people. The garbage issue hopefully was temporary and is being addressed. Every single garbage collection container was OVERFLOWING with trash by several days. I don’t know if it was a campground operator issue or the contractor hired to empty the dumpsters. Besides that nice camping experience.

Bathrooms were clean, campground was maintained very nicely. Staff was friendly and was very convenient having the dump station open.

Very nice, well kept campground. The campground is perfect for those that want the water activities that come with a campground on the lake. The campground host was very friendly and efficient at doing his job. We went during the week so the campground was not very crowded. I would imagine it might get a little more hectic and noisy on the weekends but with all the trees you still get the feeling of some seclusion.

Very nice, well kept campground. The campground is perfect for those that want the water activities that come with a campground on the lake. From Yakima, travel 25 miles on Highway 12 to the junction with Highway 410. Travel 29 miles on Highway 410 (Chinook Pass Highway) to milepost 88.4. Take Forest Road 18 (Bumping River Road) for 11.7 miles to campground.
Bumping Lake Campground is accessible via Highway 12, approximately 25 miles from Yakima, and Highway 410, which leads to the campground via Forest Road 18.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fees & deposits
- Single site fees cover one vehicle and one legally towed vehicle; extra vehicles incur a fee if space allows.
- Firewood can be purchased at the host site for $10 per bundle.
