We camped over the 4th of July weekend the camp post was not present and there is no set boundaries to the campsites so our neighbors had totally encroached on our campsite before we ever got there so we ended up with a tiny camping space to camp on with our family of four and dog which was kind of annoying and nobody to sort it out because obviously there was no camp host and nobody tending the camp but we ended up spending most of our time down at the water anyway which is why we go to spring canyon because they have a beautiful beach I suggest if you're planning a trip to plan to go to the water early and the day because parking is scarce and walking down is a bit of a hike and in the heat of the day it's not fun to hike back up to camp overall we had a great camping experience

Beautiful lake view and rec and swimming nearby. Most sights looked good. Ours was elevated and not very level.

Hello,
We arrived to no information post at my site which I needed to provide for overnight boat docking. No host was present for the 3 days of our stay. Generators were ran past 10pm. We left a day early due to this.

Park was very nice and well maintained. A little disappointed upon arrival to find sprinklers running covering our reserved spot -- had to wait quite a while to be able to park.

This was a GREAT camp site! So clean and so pretty! We had some pretty loud neighbors and people around us smoked week which was unpleasant.

Its a nice place. Been going there for many years. The new park ranger has nothing better to do than harass people. The first incident was when he told us we could not park on the grass bordering out camp spot. I could understand that if it was grass. It was just brown vegetation with gravel. And this spot has always been a parking spot.
The second incident was when he harassed my son for no reason at the launch area as being suspicious. Totally unnecessary. My son is a normal looking American with short hair and dresses normally.
The 3rd time was when we were parked in front of a closed spot on the upper loop. The car was small and totally out of the way. In addition there were large RVs parked similarly!
This ranger needs to address more important things and quit picking on people. We were always polite to him too.

Take State Highway 2 west of Spokane for 65 miles to the town of Wilbur, Washington. Turn north on State Highway 174 (follow road signs). Travel 19 miles and turn right at the sign for Spring Canyon Campground.
Spring Canyon Campground is accessible via State Highway 2, which is approximately 65 miles from Spokane, and State Highway 174, which connects to the campground from Wilbur.

Policies & Rules
General
- Dump/Fill Station onetime fee of $10 for campers with a reservation or $5 with Senior/Access pass. This is intended for visitors recreating in established campgrounds within the boundaries of Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area and not for residential use. Pay online prior to use at pay.gov/public/form/start/1575878640
- Flush toilets are available and water faucets turned on May 1st to September 30, weather permitting
- Campfires are not allowed in upper loop sites 32-78
- Pets are allowed but must be restrained at all times.
- No livestock.
- No off-road vehicles allowed. No off-road parking; park in designated areas only.
- No metal detectors or artifact collecting allowed
- Bring confirmation with you. Transfer the confirmation information onto the green slips located at the Fee Board as you enter the campground. Hang filled out tag at your site.
- Fires are permitted in the fire rings year-round, EXCEPT when the fire danger rating reaches a critical level as indicated by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the area that includes Lake Roosevelt NRA.
- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
- Weekly Boat Launch Permits must be purchased on line at https://www.pay.gov/public/form/start/656441199 . Please purchase prior to your trip. Annual Boat Launch Permits are available in person by vendor only.
- Due to watering the odd campsites numbered from 33 - 77 are RV only. No tents allowed on the grass.
