About Hunters Group Site

Hunters Group Site sits along the northern shoreline of Lake Roosevelt. The facility is popular among groups of hunters and fishermen, but is also comfortable for families and other groups of up to 25 people. Although there is no view of the lake directly from the campground, a boat launch and beach are located within the facility. Lake Roosevelt is a 130-mile lake on the Columbia River created by the Grand Coulee Dam. Named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt, it is part of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area managed by the National Park Service.

What Guests Are Saying

Hunters Group Site A offers excellent access to water and ample space for activities, making it a great choice for multi-family camping. While the site experiences high foot traffic and some noise from nearby campers, it provides a beautiful setting with fun opportunities for kids. Improvements like gravel around the fire pit area could enhance the experience, but overall, visitors found it enjoyable despite a few challenges.

It was a great experience for me and my family. But the dock out in the swimming area need some grip on the ladder due to my wife getting injured on the ladder she slipped and hurt her ribs.

Excellent view of lake or I’d give this 1 star. Camp site is dry and terribly dusty. All trails from dock go through this site, steady flow of people all day. The lake shore in front of site is 4 ft mud. Job site generators running all day from other campers, make hearing normal conversations tough. This site should be great. It’s definitely not.
