What Guests Are Saying
Gillette Campground offers a well-maintained environment with clean bathrooms and a cozy atmosphere, making it a lovely place to enjoy nature and activities like swimming at Sullivan Lake. Many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and the abundance of hummingbirds. However, some guests encountered issues with a rude camp host and noisy neighbors, which detracted from their experience.

We have been camping at Gillette for the past 50+ years. We found the campground to be clean especially the pit toilets were very well maintained. It is great to unplug and not be able to use the cell phones. Just make sure that your family back home knows this. If they need to get a hold of you, the sheriff's department can help. We were able to take our truck to the swim area without any added expense and I am impressed with the dock and buoys surrounding the swim area. We will be back again!

Well kept, noisy motor bikes, barking dogs. Not the best for travelers who appreciate hiking trails, immersed in Nature, streams or lakeside, quiet and private. It was okay but not one we’ll visit again.

The campground was nice. There aren't any hook-ups but the vault toilets were clean, water readily available within a short distance from the campsite. They need to put in some gray water vaults though. Understand with an ORV trail close by that there will be a lot of motorcycle and ATV noise during the day. After 10pm is a horrible time to be hearing motorcycles running around the campground and stop and idle right next to your campsite. If you like off-roading this is the campground for you. If you don't, do not stay here.

The place was super clean!!! Easy to set up camp in the area provided lots of woods around you and short walk to water and small store just around the corner.

When we reserved our spot at Gillette (Lake)...........we didn't realize there was another campground called Gillette Campground, as well as Lake Gillette!!!! We thought we were booking Lake Gillette.....but found out, after we arrived there................we had booked Gillette Campground!!! That was not a good thing!!! It would be nice to have different names for campgrounds in the same area, so people (like me) would not book the wrong campground.
Lake Gillette is a really nice campground, with easy access to the lake. The other campground was across the street, and up the road a little way.

We always enjoy camping at Gillette and have done so many times. It was disappointing this trip to have to listen to the drone of generators all night long. Enforcing quiet hours would be nice to see in the future. The beach and lake itself were wonderful. Thank you.
