What Guests Are Saying
Kalaloch Campground offers a stunning location close to the beach, with beautiful scenery and a pleasant atmosphere. Many reviewers praised the clean facilities and the helpful lodge staff, who provided exceptional assistance during their stay. However, some noted issues with noise from Highway 101, limited bathroom facilities, and difficulties in securing preferred campsites, suggesting that while the campground is beautiful, improvements in maintenance and accessibility are needed. Overall, visitors enjoyed their experience and expressed a desire to return.

This is the beach for me. Camping is fine and even better if you get the right site. No plug ins, showers, or other modern comforts. The lodge and small store are within walking distance. Buy your firewood well in advance in Forks or Hoquim. Enjoy the beach, ocean, and stunning sunsets. Bring a kite

We’ve been coming to Kalaloch for ever! So excited to get a spot up front, enjoying the wonderful ocean views. This year was so nice, the weather was fantastic (no rain) that was an extra bonus considering it’s next to largest temperate rainforest in the U.S.
Love you Kalaloch!!

Beautiful campground. Sites offer a lot of privacy and most are very shady. Even though campground is alongside the highway, the road noise was not that noticeable. To me, it sounded more like strong winds blowing through the trees. And traffic mostly disappears after dark anyway. Great access to the wide Sandy beach which had just the right firmness for long walks.

These sites are somewhat small and compact, but they're clean and the area is very nice. Good bathroom facilities and water spigots.
Our site specifically (A008) had a broken grill on the fire-ring, which was inconvenient but ultimately we were able to make it work. The canopy protects pretty well from light rain, and overall the area is damp, so it stays nice and cool. Be sure however to bring kindling wood or a firestarter if you plan on burning wood. Additionally, consider having a good means to pound stakes into the ground, which was mostly embedded with lots of small gravel and dense earth.
The sites also have great access to the beach; our site was maybe 150 ft from the beach entrance, and many of the sites even overlook the beach, which I would highly recommend if you can get them.
Finally, there were a lot of families and the campground seems very popular in the summertime, so if you're looking for a bit more privacy this isn't the best choice, however everyone was overall very polite and respected quiet hours and their neighbors well.

What a perfect location! We had a terrific site amongst the mossy tall trees with room for two tents. The bathrooms were clean and stocked and there are lots of places to put your trash. Walked right down onto the beach for a killer sunset and saw the Tree of Life. Highly recommend!!
