What Guests Are Saying
Kalaloch Campground offers a stunning location close to the beach, with beautiful scenery and a pleasant atmosphere. Many reviewers praised the clean facilities and the helpful lodge staff, who provided exceptional assistance during their stay. However, some noted issues with noise from Highway 101, limited bathroom facilities, and difficulties in securing preferred campsites, suggesting that while the campground is beautiful, improvements in maintenance and accessibility are needed. Overall, visitors enjoyed their experience and expressed a desire to return.

What a beautiful place. Campground is well run, one of the better National Parks I have been to.

Next to impossible to get a reservation. When I booked one at the four day release date it only booked one of the two days. Reservation system is highly flawed

Our favorite camp site! Even with burn ban and some of the water spouts not working just plan ahead with all you might need and still a great time

Kalaloch is a scenic area but many of the sites are less than optimal and the weather is often cold and very overcast (12' of rain per year). So before making the long drive to come stay there it's good to know about these things in advance. Another consideration is that there are so many RV's there now that one wonders whether the park cares about the needs of the campers camping there in tents. There is a new generation of campers who seem to be unaware of the etiquette. We saw many people using the water spigots as a dishwashing area. Many of them probably don't know that when you come to a campground like this campers are supposed to come with dishpans so as to be able to wash dishes at the campsite - NOT at the water spigot! It is very unsanitary and unsightly. I even witnessed a camper bringing his dogs to lick the water spigot for a drink of water. At many campgrounds there are signs telling campers NOT to wash their dishes at the water spigot. If the campground management would simply put signs at the water spigots (and possibly mention it in the notification email) it would undoubtedly go a long way toward remedying this unsanitary and unsightly problem.

Great spot. Felt very private with tree coverage and didn’t flood when it rained all night. Close to the highway but I don’t think the noise is too bad. Bathrooms are not a far walk and beach access is just a little further. Overall a really great spot!!

I wasn’t particularly thrilled on this campground. Our site was nice, but the nearest bathroom was a walk, and the entire campground had no spigots or sinks. You had to wash dishes using the RV potable water fill-up hose… also not the campgrounds fault, but there is nothing to do in the immediate area besides the cloudy, foggy beach. We left our tent window open for less than an hour and all our stuff was immediately damp. Our fault for sure, but we just didn’t love it in general. I preferred other areas of Olympic much more like staircase campground.

Had a great time staying at Kalaloch! Highly recommend walking on the beach to the campground store to grab a coffee and continue on with a beach walk! Some sites are parallel parked on the street, so be mindful of what type of site you are getting.
