What Guests Are Saying
Kalaloch Campground offers a stunning location close to the beach, with beautiful scenery and a pleasant atmosphere. Many reviewers praised the clean facilities and the helpful lodge staff, who provided exceptional assistance during their stay. However, some noted issues with noise from Highway 101, limited bathroom facilities, and difficulties in securing preferred campsites, suggesting that while the campground is beautiful, improvements in maintenance and accessibility are needed. Overall, visitors enjoyed their experience and expressed a desire to return.

Kalaloch is so beautiful and one of the most amazing places on the Peninsula to stay and visit. The trash left behind on the beaches and in the restrooms are absolutely horrible and people need to do better. We picked up over 20 lb of trash from the beach, a tire and litter scattered throughout the park over the weekend, it was ridiculous. And just because the NPS has employees and rangers cleaning restrooms, doesn't mean they should have to clean up all of your trash, litter and bags of garbage. If you want these treasured places to be available in the future, take care of them.
Our site this time was just above the Tree of Life and we spent more time than necessary guiding traffic for people searching for the Tree of Life, assuming based on Google, that it was in the campground.. its not. Access is from the public parking lot and via trail down to the beach. It would be amazing if there was some signage that it is not accessible from the campground in order to avoid being disturbed constantly while enjoying such an amazing place with your family.
We love Kalaloch and being Peninsula locals, will stay every chance we can...if I could give any tips for camping: Be prepared for wind, some very cold nights, even when its warm... and for the love, leave it the way you found it and pick up your trash. Also, stay off the already debilitating structure of the tree. Take photos, admire, be in aww of the beauty...but leave the tree alone and stop climbing all over it.
Enjoy the amazing beauty because it really is a beautiful place.

This campsite was absolutely amazing! I stayed in campsites all along the coast and in Mount Rainier National Park and this one was the most maintained and clean. The bathrooms were some of the cleanest I've seen at a campsite. Having the ocean right at the campsite was heavenly. We stayed in A042 and it was tucked away nicely. I'll definitely be coming back to this campground, it is my favorite!

We stayed two nights at the campground and enjoyed our time. The area is lovely and our campsite, A-5 was wonderful. It was large and spacious for a couple of tents. Other sites close to the highway are much smaller and covered densely with foliage. The bathroom was down one toilet in the women's near us but they kept the other toilet stocked well. The beach is beautiful and we enjoyed our time.
